Choose a plan you feel good about.

Get to know the plan

Read the event details before joining. Check who's hosting, what's being played, where you're meeting, and when it starts. If something is unclear, ask the host.

Pick a comfortable place

Meeting new people? Consider a café, a board-game shop, or another public spot. Share your plans with someone you trust and arrange your own way home.

Share at your own pace

You get to decide which personal details to share. Keep your home address and other private information to yourself until you're comfortable.

At the table

Make room for everyone to enjoy the game.

Make the first round welcoming

Introduce yourself, help new players learn, and give everyone a turn. A rules question is a chance to help, not a reason to make someone feel small.

Respect a no

Let people set their own boundaries around conversation, contact, photos, and sharing personal details. Ask before posting a photo of someone else.

Be considerate of the host

Follow the venue's rules and let the host know if your plans change. Hosting? Be clear about the location, timing, and what guests should bring.

Need help?

Your comfort matters more than finishing the game.

You can leave

If something feels wrong, step away and find a place where you feel safe. Let the host know if you feel able to. You don't have to stay to be polite.

Manage blocked users

In the app, open Profile, then Settings and Blocked Users to review your list. You can unblock someone there if you choose.
